My Services

“Every story matters…We are all worthy of telling our stories and having them heard. We all need to be seen and honoured in the same way that we all need to breathe”-Dr. Brené Brown

Katie MacDonald Counselling Services offer 50-minute virtual, phone or in-person counselling sessions for anyone 18 and older. I welcome a free 15-minute call before you make an appointment to get a sense of how we might work together.

Counselling can be helpful to anyone navigating:

  • Mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression & suicidal ideation.
  • Trauma (childhood, sexual, etc).
  • Abuse (sexual, emotional, physical, etc).
  • Grief (people, pets, places, jobs, etc).
  • Disordered eating/ body acceptance.
  • Gender & sexual identity.
  • Relationship shifts such as divorce, un-partnering or exploring non-monogamy.
  • Complex relationship dynamics (family, friends, partners, etc).
  • Codependency.
  • Spirituality.
  • Challenges with substance use or compulsive behaviour (alcohol, drugs, sex, pornography, gambling, shopping, eating, etc).
  • Postpartum/parental challenges.

To learn more about counselling that might reflect your experience, click the drop-down options under ‘Services’ in the menu.

No two people receiving counselling are the same, and therefore I use a person-centred approach. Each session will be uniquely facilitated to support your individual needs.

Having an intersectional feminist, trauma-informed lens allows me to draw from theoretical frameworks of CBT (especially mindfulness), narrative therapy & existential therapy.
